Are you a high school softball player looking to improve your skills on the softball diamond? Well,Wilmington University might have something for you.

On Wednesday, Wilmington University’s Softball Coach Mike Shehorn announced two   Elite High School Softball ID Clinics in August at Wildcats Asbury Field in New Castle.

The clinics will be on August 8th and August 9th and according to Wilmington University it will be for “high school softball players who are looking to play at the next level.”

The first clinic on August 8th will be focused on infielders and outfielders. The WilmU softball coaching staff will teach defensive skills and then before the end of the clinic will teach some lessons on the offensive side of the ball as well. The clinic will run 4:30 pm to 7:30pm.

The second clinic on August 9th will be focusing on pitchers and catchers. The WilmU softball coaching staff will teach techniques and drills from the on the mound and behind the plate. The Wilmu softball staff will also teach the players some techniques on the offensive side of the ball as well. The clinic will run 4:30 pm to 7:30pm.

All interested participants should be aware they will have to bring their own softball gear which includes  glove, bat, cleats/spikes, running or turf shoes and hat. Catchers will also have to bring their own gear as well.

The cost to attend each clinic is $60.
